Building a Sustainable Wellness Destination
Me Square was envisioned as more than a standalone practice. The brief was to create an eco-friendly, sustainable business hub anchored by Joy’s Dental Clinic. The intent was to bring wellness services under one roof, with generous, open spaces that could also host small events and community gatherings.
The site had the potential to become a local landmark, but the building needed to express that ambition through design, light, and functionality. The objective was clear: develop a wellness centre that felt inviting, responsible, and commercially viable, with room for multiple businesses to operate alongside the anchor clinic.
B&M approached Me Square as a long-term asset rather than a single-tenant project. Planning focused on spatial openness and flexibility. Floor plates were organised to allow clear circulation, shared access, and adaptable units for future wellness operators.
Natural light drove the architectural decisions. The layout was adapted to maximise daylight penetration, reducing reliance on artificial lighting during working hours. Carefully selected glazing played a major role. The right type of glass ensured a steady flow of natural light while controlling heat gain, maintaining indoor comfort without excessive energy consumption.
Open and airy interiors were prioritised to enhance patient and visitor experience. The design balanced clinical precision for the dental practice with warmth suitable for other wellness businesses. Sustainability was integrated into material selection and building systems, reinforcing the project’s identity as a responsible commercial space.
Construction was executed as per schedule, with close supervision and coordination to ensure timelines were met without compromising quality. The project was completed and handed over within the stipulated time frame, allowing the anchor clinic to begin operations as planned.
Me Square now operates as a distinctive wellness address. Joy’s Dental Clinic anchors the property, supported by the infrastructure to accommodate additional health and wellness enterprises. The building’s openness, natural light, and thoughtful detailing have made it instantly recognisable within its locality.
What began as a dental clinic brief has grown into a sustainable wellness centre with the flexibility to host multiple businesses and small-scale events. Me Square stands as a landmark development, demonstrating how careful planning and disciplined execution can convert a single-use requirement into an iconic, multi-functional commercial hub.
